is responsible for supervising personnel and overseeing daily maintenance activities to

Allegheny County Airport (AGC) complex, associated airport facilities, and related
equipment. Here is how the Maintenance Supervisor - AGC will help:
Supervise, plan, assign and coordinate maintenance work done by Field and
Facilities Maintenance Trades personnel and on-site maintenance contractors.
Supervise the maintenance of main complex, facilities, grounds, air equipment.
Respond to all emergency calls from other departments, tenants, vendors, etc.
Generate work orders to appropriate trades for emergency and routine maintenance.
Review contractor’s invoices to assure compliance with contracts.

Meets with tenants, other ACAA departments, and vendors to review AGC activities.
Participate in toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings and is involved in all other
aspects pertaining to safety.
Develop and conduct maintenance and safety-related training classes, as assigned.
Develops preventative maintenance programs on all assets and equipment.
Conduct daily inspections of maintenance work/job sites to ensure compliance
with organizational and departmental safety initiatives.
Prepare clean, concise and comprehensive documents and reports.
Performs other related tasks as assigned or required

Qualifications

Requirements to apply for role of Maintenance Supervisor - AGC are:
High School Diploma or GED;
Five (5) years maintenance supervisory experience in a union environment.

Possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid driver’s license. Note: License must
be maintained throughout employment.

We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and
abilities in most cases:
Working knowledge of FAA FAR Parts 139 and 77
Considerable knowledge in the practices, methods, tools and materials of the
trades.

Knowledge of union contracts and disciplinary procedures.
Knowledge of the Airports' layout and infrastructure.
Knowledge of Airport plans and procedures such as Winter Operations, Emergency
Procedures and Operations.
Knowledge of Microsoft programs (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to keep composure during stressful working conditions.
