We are hiring a café manager to join our team at Dog Daze Cuban Café in Lawrenceville, PA. As a part of the Big Easy Team, you will have the chance to be a part of this exciting opportunity. The Barista creates a great experience for our customers by providing quality beverages and products, quick service and providing a fun and memorable experience for our guests.

What you will do

Greet all guests with a smile while taking food and drink orders, answering any questions, calling guests by name and thanking them for their order
Provide and prepare quality beverages and food products consistently to all guests by adhering to recipe and presentation standards while also providing legendary service
Stay calm during periods of high volume to keep the store operating properly and set a positive example for the team
Operate a cash register and receive payment from guests, while following the customer service and cash handling policies and procedures
Keep the store clean, stocked, organized and decorate customer display areas
Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge to enhance the culture, values and mission of the owner, while following operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of baristas and kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional customer service.

Customer Service: Ensure that every customer receives a warm welcome, friendly service, and high-quality products, maintaining the reputation of the company.

Operational Excellence: Oversee daily cafe operations, including inventory management, product preparation, and quality control. Maintain a clean and organized environment.

Menu Development: Collaborate with the owner to innovate and expand our menu offerings, staying current with industry trends while maintaining our unique identity.

Financial Management: Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize revenue. Implement cost control measures and price adjustments when necessary.

Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules, balancing labor costs and customer demands.

Vendor Relationships: Maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality ingredients and products.

Health and Safety: Enforce health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and cleanliness protocols to provide a safe environment for customers and staff.

Marketing and Promotion: Work with the marketing team to execute promotional strategies, engage with the local community, and drive customer loyalty.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a managerial role in the food and beverage industry.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to manage financial aspects of the cafe effectively.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
MUST HAVE AN UP TO DATE FOOD HANDLER CERTIFICATION, ServSafe
